We provide virtual including telephone consultations that can be done from the comfort of your home and clinic consultations in the hospitals setting.

What happens in a typical session:

Initial consultation includes a discussion regarding details of your medical and social history, current medications, dietary intake, anthropometric data such as weight, height, body mass index, weight history and physical activity levels, to help tailor a dietary plan specifically designed to meet your individual needs and goals. Digital resource will be provided where appropriate to support consultations. All consultations are documented, we will send a report to you and your GP/consultant following each appointment.


How do I pay for dietetic consultations?

Self-pay patients. All appointments must be paid for in advance. Payments is to be made at the time of booking your consultation. We do not accept cash payments. You can pay using any debit, credit or master card or bank transfer.

Insured Patients: Prior to booking your dietetic consultation please contact your private health care provider to check what type of cover they provide and how many sessions they will cover. Please ensure your insurance company covers the fee in full. We require membership numbers and authorisation codes at least 24 hours prior to consultations. 

Please note insurance companies will not cover home visits. We are registered with the following private health companies AXA PPP Healthcare, Simply Health, BUPA, Cigra Healthcare, WPA & WPA Protocol, Aivia, and Vitality Health. 

 If you do not attend your appointment, we reserve the right to charge you 100% of appointment costs. If you booked and prepaid for your appointment and do not show up, you will not be refunded. We require 48 hour’s notice for cancellations. Cancellations within 48 hours of the appointment will be charged at 100% of the cost of the appointment. We understand that many of our patients have complex medical needs, so if you have a medical emergency or a valid reason for cancelling please contact us.

Do you need to do anything prior to your consultation?

Prior to your dietetic consultation you will be required to complete our ANDS Health Questionnaire. You may also need to complete a food and symptoms diary prior to your consultation. If this is required for your consultation, it will be sent to you on booking your appointment. You will also be asked to sign our consent form.


How much do our dietetic consultations cost?

Initial consultations with our dietitian’s including our paediatric dietitian are charged at £115 and last up to an hour. 

Follow-up consultations are £85 and last for up to 30 minutes. 

Virtual Libra interpretation and feedback consultation with our specialist diabetes dietitian are charged at £60 and will last for around 20 minutes.
